Detroit City FC is an American professional soccer club based in Detroit, Michigan that plays in the USL Championship and USL W leagues. I have worked as the team photographer since the first match at Cass Tech, and first promotional photoshoot in 2012. The club was founded by five Detroiters who decided to start a minor league soccer team after organizing the Detroit City Futbol League: a co-ed, neighborhood based league. DCFC has grown from humble beginnings in 2012 to draw up to 7,000 fans to their home matches at historic Keyworth Stadium.
